THE MEDIEVAL CASTLES PROJECT
INTERDISCIPLINARY PROJECT

Within the framework of this project, our students from 5éme/M2 studied the Middle Ages in History and English. Then, they focused on vocabulary connected with feudalism. They watched and analysed the film called « Lancelot, First Knight ». Finally, the students got into groups to build model castles out of recycled materials. They even designed their own flag and coat of arms. The medieval castles were exhibited at the school library, where the students gave their presentations. Students at school voted for the best medieval castle. It was a great experience!
Dentro del marco de este proyecto, nuestros alumnos de 5ème/M2/7mo grado de Collége estudiaron la Edad Media en Historia e inglés. Luego, estudiaron específicamente vocabulario relacionado con el feudalismo. Los estudiantes vieron y analizaron la película “Lancelot, el primer caballero”. Por último, los alumnos se reunieron en grupos para construir sus castillos medievales dentro del señorío con material reciclable. Además, diseñaron su propia bandera y escudo heráldico. Los castillos fueron exhibidos en CDI donde los alumnos hicieron sus presentaciones grupales. Se convocó a los alumnos de la institución a votar por los mejores castillos medievales. ¡Fue una gran experiencia!
Dans le cadre de ce projet, nos élèves de 5ème ont travaillé sur le moyen âge, en Historia et en Anglais. Ils ont travaillé sur le vocabulaire féodal. Les élèves ont vu et analysé le film Lancelot, el primer caballero. Enfin, ils se sont mis en groupe pour réaliser des châteaux médiévaux avec du matériel recyclé. Ils ont eux-mêmes dessiné leurs drapeaux et boucliers. Les châteaux ont été exposés au CDI où les élèves ont fait leurs présentations. Tous les élèves ont été invités à voté, par classe, pour leur château préféré. Ce fut une belle expérience!
